Alfaaz Writing Development & Accountability Program

Welcome to the Alfaaz Writing Development and Accountability Program!

A safe space for you to develop creatively, generate writing, become a stronger writer and be part of a community!

This generative writing program enables you to write four drafts over eight weeks with feedback from other members in the group, in response to our tailored “thought-starters” – a combination of creative and technical prompts. You will attempt writing across different formats and structures, however the program is designed to be flexible for your needs.

How it works

Format & Structure

  • You will receive a 'thought-starter’ every two weeks, covering different writing formats and themes.

  • After each thought-starter, your piece will be reviewed by the person running the program as well as other participants and you will receive feedback. You will also have the opportunity to provide other participants with feedback.

  • We will also be sharing resources and having workshops to improve your skills and needs.

  • The program has plenty of flexibility built in depending on what the participants need as we go through the eight weeks! We also accommodate for different timezones.

Facilitator

Karan is the Founder of Alfaaz and has facilitated several cohorts of the development program. He has experience in providing empathetic, yet objective feedback and aims to make sure that each person in the program can be tailored towards.

He loves writing poetry and historical fiction.
